Project Description
David is a prolific travel photographer, who lives by his life-rule of going someplace he’s never been before at least once a year. He’s gone full circle – from a plastic Diana-F camera in grade school and his first Canon SLR camera in high school, to dark room printing in college, and then turning digital eventually. Inspiration and curiosity came from his father’s love for photography. To this day, he cherishes dad’s bequeathed Rolleiflex. Photography had always been a magical experience for him, awed as he is when he captures our world in his travels into a two dimensional image on paper. Grateful to Zone V for honing his photographic eye, David has returned the favor by serving as club president and actively supporting club projects even when busy as a business owner. Photography for David is not really about the pretty pictures but about the photographer and how he views the world capturing the planned and spontaneous moments, the mundane and the peculiar, the people, places and things.
