June holds special significance for us as it marks the month of Independence in the Philippines—a time to celebrate our freedom, creativity, and shared passion for photography.

First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support and active participation. Our recent endeavors have been nothing short of remarkable:

Golf Tournament and Dumaguete OTS: 

Kudos to everyone who made our Golf Tournament a resounding success! Your enthusiasm and camaraderie elevated the event. Likewise, our recent out-of-town shoot in Dumaguete City allowed us to explore new vistas, create stunning images and leave imprints in our memories about the wonderful time we spent there. 

Next up, a ZVCC Exhibit at Graphic Expo, SMX with the theme: “This Is Us”: and INSIGHTS: Photography as Creative Medium, a ZVCC Talk, also at the Graphic Expo:

Get ready for a combined visual and cerebral experience! Zone V Camera Club will showcase our best works at the Graphic Expo from June 27 to 29. The theme, “This Is Us,” celebrates our unique perspectives and collective vision. A heartfelt thank you to all participants and Exhibit Chair Angela Panlilio for leading the way.

Meanwhile, on June 29 at 3:00 pm, the ZVCC sponsored talk during the Graphic Expo will delve into “INSIGHTS Photography as Creative Medium.” Join us at the SMX main stage as esteemed speakers Bern Wong, Michael Olivares, Jeff Dytuco, and Angela Panlilio share their individual and unique style of unleashing their creativity and capturing stunning images from their own lenses.

ZVCC x AFI Book Project: 

Our members have poured their time and talent into the Book Project in partnership with Ayala Foundation, capturing the success stories of the DSWD 4P’s project in 12 diverse locations across our country. The photo shoots are complete, the curation is done, and book design is now in progress and we eagerly await the book’s  upcoming launch and exhibit in July. More details about this will be shared with you.

Let’s connect once more in-person on June 15, Saturday at the Ayala Museum in Makati City. It’s an opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen our bonds as a creative community.

Remember, our club’s mantra for 2024 is “Bigger, Bolder, Brighter, UNSTOPPABLE.” Together, we’ll continue to push boundaries, inspire, and capture the essence of life through our lenses.
