As we step into the vibrant month of May, I am thrilled to share exciting updates and upcoming events with all of you. Our club continues to thrive, and your enthusiasm and participation make it all possible. Let’s dive into what’s in store for us this month:
3rd Zone V Camera Club Golf Tournament (May 8):
Our highly anticipated golf tournament is just around the corner! I’m delighted to announce that all playing tickets have been sold out! For those who missed out, don’t worry—there’s still a chance to be part of the action. Club members can purchase tickets that entitle holders to fantastic prizes totaling over PHP400,000.
The proceeds from this event will go toward several important causes: supporting the beneficiaries of Images of HOPE as we build the 4th Learning Hub this year, contributing to the Road to Gold initiative (our Club’s 50th Celebration in 2028), and funding select projects in 2024.
Photo Contest this May – Color Explosion:
Are you ready with your entries? Our May photo contest theme is “Color Explosion.” I encourage all members to submit their best shots capturing vibrant colors, creativity, and visual impact.
The top 12 images this month will have the honor of being exhibited during the Photo Fiesta at The Space, the Exhibit Hall at One Ayala in Makati City, as sponsored by Henry’s Cameras. It is quite apt as the theme is aligned with our May’s contest theme.
ZVCC Book Project with Ayala Foundation Inc:
Our collaboration with Ayala Foundation Inc. is in full swing. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all participants who have dedicated their time and skills to this project. As we work diligently on our assignments, I eagerly anticipate the completion of the book and the subsequent exhibit, scheduled for June. This endeavor promises to be a remarkable celebration of our collective creativity.

Out-of-Town Shoot in Dumaguete City:
Pack your bags and prepare for an unforgettable adventure! Our Club’s out-of-town shoot takes us to Dumaguete City from May 23 to 26.
If you haven’t already, secure your plane tickets and accommodations. We’ll be capturing the beauty of Dumaguete through our lenses and shoot with the theme Long Exposure in Motion.
Mark your calendars: Fellowship Night awaits us on May 25 at the Bethel Hotel—it’s bound to be a night of camaraderie and fun.

With all these activities lined up, May promises to be a whirlwind of creativity, camaraderie, and joy. Let’s embrace the energy and keep our passion for photography burning bright.
