The President’s Viewfinder
February 2024
by Leys Masangcay
It’s February! A very red month! Valentine’s Day and the Chinese New Year makes it all abloom.
At Zone V Camera Club, it’s quite a busy and a red-letter month too as we are finalizing and about to sign the Letter of Agreement with the Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) for the Book Project we are collaborating with them. It took time to seal this document as we are ensuring that Zone V and its member’s welfare are prioritized while committing to Ayala Foundation our best talents to deliver this undertaking.
We are also pleased to note that about 40 members volunteered their time and talent for this project. We shall personally reach out to you with the shooting dates and location proposed to the volunteers.
Shooting dates shall commence this February till May.

May I also acknowledge the following Book Project Task Force Chairpersons for helping us make this endeavor possible:
Willie de Vera, Chair of Photography; Bern Wong, Chair of Curation; Arlene Donaire, Chair of Member Deployment; Angela Panlilio, Chair of Exhibits; Armi Yam, Chair of Member Welfare; Emman Araullo, Chair of Communications; Tony Rivera, Chair of Project Management; and last but definitely not the least, Happy Milan, Chair of Alliance AFI x ZVCC.
This February, we also have “Still Life in Fine Art” as photo contest theme. I would like to thank everyone who submitted their entries and congratulate the winners.
On top of all these, we are also gearing up for the OTS in March and of course, ZVCC’s anniversary!
Have a wonderful and rosy month everyone!
