Happy New Year!

I hope everyone was able to have a great holiday season and was able to spend quality time with your loved ones. As we start 2024, I hope everyone has hit the ground running and ready to face the year with high spirits and renewed energy.

It is with great pleasure that I am sharing once more (as has been shared during the Club’s Year-end Dinner) the 2024 Club’s mantra – Bigger, Bolder, Brighter, UNSTOPPABLE in 2024! We thought that it is indeed high time that after the pandemic restrictions has been lifted, this year, the Club and its members are raring to shoot more, apply what has been learned and show our peers the talents and efforts that ZVCC is made out of!

Some pretty ambitious projects are lined-up that will define 2024 are aligned with our mantra. More on this projects will be announced in the coming days.

To make it all happen, I am pleased to introduce the team that will be working hard hand-in-hand with you.

Tony Rivera, the Club Vice-President will also be the Director of the Contest Committee. Tony is well-versed with the systems in place (and those he developed) as he has been part of the Contest Team of 2023.

Arlene Donaire, the Club Secretary and last year’s POTY will also be this year’s Z Academy Director. Arlene has lined-up an interesting learning and development programs for us all, in fact, one is already in place for January 13. A separate announcement on this will be made.

Ruben Castor Ranin, will be serving as this year’s Club Treasurer and the Golf Tournament Chair, a fundraising event for the numerous projects of the club.

Angela Panlilio, from whom I learned much, as last year’s well-loved President, and this year’s ex-officio will be the Director of Exhibits. It is a daunting task as this year will have one of the biggest club exhibit and roadshow we’ll have. Stay tuned!

Armi Yam, a familiar fixture among members and new recruits as she holds the same position as Director of Membership. The challenge is to keep us all engaged and have membership retention healthy, while attracting new talents to the club.

Billy Palatino, a bona fide wanderlust, will be the Z Places Director. Expect that our OTS’s and photo walks will be as fun as those trips Billy would organize.

Happy Milan, is this year’s Director of Programs and Images of HOPE Chair. Happy is pivotal in ensuring that all our monthly meetings are streamlined, organized and fun. Happy has also secured a nice and prestigious home for our coming face to face meetings.

Emman Araullo, plays an important role as you’ll see and hear more of him as he is the new Director of Communications.

Lastly, yours truly will head the Judge’s Committee as well as the Project Sponsor for the various major events lined-up for 2024.

I am confident that the team behind you and the projects in place is pretty solid and will be another year to remember.

A few more things before I close, I am proud to share that the trophies for 2024 are already in production and are works of art themselves. They will make very nice addition to your room or your display shelves! I have to thank Bern Wong for collaborating on the design process and making into tangible reality the vision of what UNSTOPPABLE truly is. Another announcement on the trophies will have to made so you can see for yourself how truly drool-worthy they are.

I hope to see you all on January 13, Saturday afternoon for our first in-person meeting for the year (venue to be announced soon) and I hope many more of you will support the Club efforts by signing up and availing the discounted annual dues by the end of the month.

As such, together with you, I look forward to a Bigger, Bolder, Brighter 2024 and together let us make ZVCC truly UNSTOPPABLE!
