June 2022
Bern Wong
The second quarter of the year is almost over and we are about to enter the second half of 2022 in a few weeks!
I am very pleased that everything that we’ve planned the first half of the year has been implemented. I thank those who helped make these activities a reality, and of course, thank you too to all members who supported and took part in all our Club activities.
The rain showers of June is upon us. Shower of blessings came in early too as I would like to thank members who donated their images for the Lingkod Larawan project of ZVCC in partnership with the University of the Philippines College of Medicine (UPCM).
These images are now being curated by the UPCM. We shall reach out to the artists whose images will be printed. We are currently developing a memorandum of agreement with UPCM in order to protect The Club and the artists so that the precious images will only be used according to the original intent and not for any other purpose.
ZVCC meets with Dr. Rody Sy (seated center), the Chairman and President of the University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Foundation inc., and Professor Emeritus of UPCM; together with (seated L-R) Leys Masangcay and Bern Wong; Standing (L-R) Sari Ortiga of Crucible Gallery and Ruben Castor Ranin
ZVCC Board and Officers on a site visit at the UPCM
This June, the Club photo contest theme is Decisive Moments, another exciting and challenging subject for Club members to shoot. Hopefully you enjoyed capturing images for this month. My congratulations too to the winners and everyone who participated.
The Z Academy Team has also an interesting line-up this month as we have invited Veejay Villafranca to be our resource person. We shall give you full details on this in the coming announcements.
In preparation for the July photo contest theme “Up Close and Personal”, the Z/Places Committee has planned a photowalk this July 2, at the La Mesa Eco Park. Specifics on this activity will be relayed in the coming days.
Finally, let me also share with you that The Board and Officers of The Club are gearing-up for the equally exciting second half of the year. Stay tuned and we shall continuously update you with all these developments.
Again, many thanks for all your active participation, and I wish more shower of blessings to you and to ZVCC!
