Emman Araullo
I met Emman when I took the Chasing Light workshop back in 2012. Our batch—shoutout to CL19!—quickly became close through photoshoots and general photography.
One of the things I really admire about Emman is his very clean and minimalistic style, particularly in his black and white photography. His shots are very concise statements without anything unnecessary in the frame.
They say that what makes people the best in any field is through perseverance, constant practice. Iron sharpening iron. Emman, despite geographical moves and changes in his life has always strived to improve his photography.
Upon acquiring a camera, he started joining workshops in Manila to improve his craft. After workshops, we would be the resident kaladkarins in our CL batch who would always be open to shoot. In 2015, he moved to the Chicago to study and work. Upon moving there, he sought out fellow photographers so that he can keep on practicing and go on photowalks/photo safaris. Which is why when he relocated back to Manila, he became interested in joining the club.
Emman knows that improving in any skill takes hard work. He is most certainly willing to put in the work. This would make him, I believe, a valuable addition to Zone V.
